DESCRIPTION:Discover Bartow County’s History: Evening Tours of Oak Hill Cemetery!\nStep into the past with the Bartow History Museum and the Woodland High School Fine Arts Department during an evening of storytelling at historic Oak Hill Cemetery. Meet the figures who shaped Bartow County’s history – including Amos Akerman\, Dr. William H. Felton\, Aaron Hazelwood\, Gertrude Weaver\, Lewis Tumlin\, Louisa Cecilia Stovall Shelman\, and more – as their stories are brought to life. \nTours depart every half hour from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.\, with each tour lasting about an hour. \nAbout Oak Hill Cemetery:Established around 1838 as the burial ground for the Ebenezer Methodist congregation\, Oak Hill is one of Cartersville’s most historic landmarks. Though many early graves are unmarked\, the site remains a place of memory and legacy. In 1869\, the Cartersville town council designated the “Old Methodist Cemetery” as a public burial ground\, officially naming it Oak Hill just a few years later. \nImportant Ticket Information:\nRegistration is required. Tickets are $15 and will not be sold at the cemetery on the day of the event. If you do not have a ticket in advance\, please do not come to the cemetery\, as we will not sell cash-only tickets. This event will also serve as the opening reception for the museum’s newest temporary exhibit\, Essential Ingredients: The Joy of the Cookbook\, on Thursday\, September 25\, 2025\, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. \nQuatrano – the visionary behind Bacchanalia\, Star Provisions\, and W.H. Stiles Fish Camp – has shaped Atlanta’s culinary landscape for more than three decades. Known for her steadfast commitment to locally sourced ingredients\, she was among the first chefs in the region to champion sustainable\, farm-driven cuisine. Her restaurants continue to set the standard for excellence: Bacchanalia was recently awarded both a Michelin Star and a Michelin Green Star\, the latter recognizing a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable gastronomy. \nA graduate of the University of Vermont and the California Culinary Academy\, Quatrano refined her skills in fine dining establishments from San Francisco to New York before putting down roots in Georgia. Much of the produce featured in her restaurants comes from Summerland Farm in Cartersville\, which she operates with her husband and business partner\, Clifford Harrison. Together\, they raise vegetables\, fruits\, nuts\, chickens\, and horses – reinforcing her deep connection to the land and its harvest. \nIn addition to her culinary achievements\, Quatrano is a passionate advocate for the food community.
