DESCRIPTION:Join the Etowah Valley Hand Spinners Guild as they demonstrate hand spinning yarns (with spinning wheels and hand spindles) at the Bartow History Museum!\nThe Etowah Valley Hand Spinners Guild is a group of local needlework enthusiasts who spin yarn from wool\, mohair\, cotton\, silk and many other fibers. Please join us as we spin and discuss the history and processes of making yarn and fabric – especially using locally raised fibers. We will have examples of our handspun yarns and finished products that have been knit\, woven\, crocheted and embroidered. We look forward to talking with everyone about our yarns\, dyes\, fabrics and much more! DESCRIPTION:Just Hear Those Sleigh Bells Jingling… Santa Is On His Way!\n  \nSanta is making his way to the Bartow History Museum on Saturday\, November 11th for his annual photo shoot from 9:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. Enjoy Christmas cookies\, candy\, and other snacks in our Winter Wonderland. Plus\, get the chance to hear classic stories\, watch Christmas cartoons\, and make festive crafts with our BHM elves while you wait your turn for a picture with the man in the big red suit! Guests will also have a chance to look in Santa’s workshop and see our museum exhibits decorated for the holidays! \nPhotography is in partnership with Louis Tonsmeire Studio. Children 3 and under must have an adult with them in the photograph.
