DESCRIPTION:Cherokee Judicial Circuit: The Early Organization and Establishment of Constitutional Justice\nThe Bartow History Museum invites visitors to explore the origins of constitutional justice in North Georgia through a program examining the formation of the Cherokee Judicial Circuit. \nOne of the oldest judicial circuits in Georgia\, the Cherokee Judicial Circuit – now encompassing Bartow and Gordon Counties – was established in 1832. At its creation\, the circuit covered a vast region that had once been the Cherokee Nation. \nThis program explores the dramatic transition that followed as Georgia asserted sovereignty over the area and began establishing a structured system of law and order\, replacing earlier forms of frontier justice. \nAdmission:\n\nFree for Bartow History Museum members\n$9 for non-members\n\nGet Your Tickets Here
