Girl Scouts Day
January 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
DISCOVER THE HISTORY OF GEORGIA’S NATIVE PEOPLE WITH THE GIRL SCOUTS: GEORGIA’S NATIVE PEOPLE BADGE (JUNIORS) AT THE BARTOW HISTORY MUSEUM.
Join us as we delve into the original homelands in Georgia and follow the journey through Removal, providing Girl Scouts with insights into the lives of the Cherokee and Muscogee tribes.
In addition to delving into the history of these Native tribes, Scouts will actively engage in experiencing their culture and art through crafts and storytelling. The Georgia’s Native People Badge offers an excellent opportunity for Scouts to learn about and show respect for the indigenous people of this area.
This badge, a Council’s Own badge of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, is at the Junior Level, and pre-registration is required.
