Join the Bartow History Museum and the Etowah Valley Quilt Guild on Saturday, February 20, for In Stitches!—a historical exploration of quilting for both the experienced and the amateur. We will kick off our event at 9 AM with a talk on American quilting history from quilt master and local Cartersvillian Shelby Morris. Following Morris’s lecture, each guest will participate in one of two quilting workshops: one designed for experienced quilters and another for beginners (first-timers welcome!)
Participants will gain basic or broadened quilting skills and will practice level-appropriate hand stitching and quilting techniques under the instruction of EVQG quilters.
Fabric and other materials will be provided by the museum and event sponsor Red Hen Fabrics of Marietta. Preregistration is required. Register online by Monday, February 8, 2016.
