Join us as we pay homage to those sacred spaces that are often overlooked and forgotten when discussing history. Cemeteries are a treasure trove of information in helping us tell the story of our foremothers and forefathers—particularly for those populations whose history has been lost, destroyed, or not recorded throughout history. Join us on this 10 stop walking tour through Oak Hill Cemetery. We will tell the story of how the lives of those interred in the historically segregated African American sections (Sections 10 and 11) of Oak Hill are woven into the historical narrative of Cartersville and Bartow County. Afterwards, reflect on your thoughts and feel free to share your personal family histories.  Tickets are free, but reservations are required.

Presented by the Etowah Bush School and Bartow History Museum
This event will be rescheduled for 2020.
