Book Signing & Lecture: Taste the State: Georgia

Join us on Saturday, November 22, from 7 to 8 p.m. for a special lecture and book signing with Chef Kevin Mitchell and culinary historian David S. Shields, co-authors of Taste the State: Georgia. In Taste the State: Georgia, Mitchell and Shields trace the origins and evolution of Georgia foodways, uncovering the traditions, innovations, and stories behind iconic dishes such as Brunswick stew, Savannah red rice, and Vidalia onion cornbread.

Featuring sixty-five alphabetical entries, fourteen original recipes by Chef Mitchell, and vivid photography, Taste the State: Georgia showcases both heirloom cultivars and contemporary culinary creativity.
