Girl Scout Day: Georgia’s Native People’s Badge (Junior)

Earn the Georgia’s Native Peoples Badge at Girl Scout Day!
The Bartow History Museum will host Girl Scout Day – Georgia’s Native Peoples on Saturday, January 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This special program is designed for Junior Girl Scouts (Grades 4 – 5) to earn the Georgia’s Native Peoples Council’s Own Badge from the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.
Participants will explore the rich history and culture of the Cherokee and Muscogee peoples through storytelling, hands-on crafts, and interactive activities. Scouts will learn about the tribes’ original homelands in Georgia and gain insight into their lives before and during Removal. All attending Girl Scouts will complete the full badge requirements and receive their badge at the end of the program.
Program Details:
- Cost: $20 per scout; $9 per parent/chaperone
