Baked Goods and Backyard Farms
August 6, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Combining our annual bake sale fundraiser with a look at local farming, this event will provide an opportunity to discover how farming has evolved over the years in Bartow County and will give individuals who have a curiosity in hobby farming the chance to cultivate their interests.
The Bartow County UGA extension office and the Bartow County Master Gardeners will share their knowledge on a number of subjects throughout the day.
Members of the Gordon County Antique Engine and Tractor Club will be displaying an assortment of antique tractors that are sure to delight young and old.
Kids will be able to a ride on the barrel train, make a craft, and participate in other fun activities. No need to worry about lunch as hot dogs and lemonade will be available for purchase.
The day will kick off with the bake sale fundraiser at 9 am. Featuring baked goodies from local restaurants and friends of the museum, this will be a great way to pick up a tasty treat while helping to ensure that we can continue to offer educational opportunities throughout the year. Participants in this year’s sale include Adam’s BBQ, Grand Oaks, Johnny Mitchell’s, Adairsville Inn, Udder Delights, Jake’s Fresh Market & Cannery, Table 20, and more.
