Old Fashioned Toys and Games – Grade K
Explore toys and games spanning hundreds of years. Make an old fashioned spin top, cup and ball, and whirligig
Pioneer Pathways – Grade K
Experience the daily life of pioneers at work and play with artifacts, toys, and activities. Also, learn what it was like to attend class in a one-room schoolhouse.
Cherokee Life – Grade 2
Examine Cherokee artifacts as you learn about their lifestyle. Find out the changes that the Cherokee chose to adopt from the white European settlers and witness a blowgun demonstration.
Colonial Life – Grades 2-4
Experience the daily life in the southern colonies as you learn about farmers, women, children, and the differences between indentured servitude and enslavement.
Civil War – Grade 4
A haversack and knapsack hold the soldier’s most important possessions. Experience a packing activity to see what items to prioritize over others before heading off to war and discover the hardships of the doctors and nurses who cared for the sick and the wounded.
World War II – Grade 5
From battlefront to home front, students learn about the causes of the war, V-mail, Victory Gardens, and rationing.
