Keith Hebert, Associate Professor of History at Auburn University and Bartow County native, will profile little known stories of Bartow people and places connected to the Civil War and Reconstruction. The lecture is free for members and $6.50 for non-members. Tickets are required.

Get to know the speaker
Keith Hebert is associate professor of history at Auburn University and author of The Long Civil War in the North Georgia Mountains: Bartow County, Georgia. In 2019, his book received an award from the American Library Association as one of the year’s best works of history. Keith grew up in Bartow County where he attended school in Kingston and graduated from Adairsville High School. He is currently writing a biography of Confederate Vice President Alexander H. Stephens of Georgia.
